Split markers = more than one type. A + means community-added, not yet verified. A green ring means you've climbed it; a gold star means it's bookmarked. Numbered circles are clusters — click or zoom in to split them apart.
Three kinds of data: (1) Anything voluntarily entered into the "Add a spot" or "Edit this spot" forms — gym/crag details such as name, location, address, climbing type, notes, and an optional photo link. (2) Anything entered into a "Report incorrect information" form — just a free-text message about a specific spot. (3) If you sign in, your email address (and, for Google sign-in, whatever basic profile info Google shares) plus which spots you've privately marked as climbed or bookmarked.
Anything submitted through the "Add a spot" / "Edit this spot" forms is displayed publicly to all visitors once a moderator approves it — that's the whole point of a shared map. Don't include personal information in a submission that you don't want shown publicly. "Report incorrect information" messages are different — they're only ever visible to moderators, reviewed to decide whether the spot needs correcting, and not displayed on the public map. Climbed/bookmarked marks are private and tied to your account — only you can see them.
Map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap and CARTO. Loading the map means your browser requests tiles from their servers directly; see their own privacy policies for how they handle that. Accounts and data storage are handled by Supabase; Google sign-in is handled by Google. See their respective privacy policies for how they handle your data.
To have a submission corrected or removed, use the Edit function on the relevant pin, or contact 3uphonium0104@gmail.com.

Climb Atlas is a free, informational, community-edited map of climbing spots in Australia, the United States, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, and China. It isn't a booking, ticketing, or payment service, and using it doesn't create any relationship with the gyms or crags listed.
Information on this map is submitted and edited by the public and may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Confirm details — especially opening hours, prices, and whether a gym is still open — directly with the venue before visiting. Outdoor climbing and bouldering carry inherent risk; you climb entirely at your own risk and are responsible for your own judgement, gear, and safety.
Climb Atlas is provided "as is," with no guarantee of accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Climb Atlas isn't liable for losses arising from reliance on information found here.
These terms may change as the site grows. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
